Every once in a while a Brooklyn girl makes it out to Manhattan (on the weekend). This day in Central Park, my location wasn't the only thing a bit topsy-turvy.
Feminine florals paired so sweetly with the ultimate in "boyfriend" jeans: hand-me-downs from my husband. This sweater is definitely a Mister, but he didn't seem to mind taking a stroll with two ladylike patterns.
Gotta make the socks worth a look if you're gonna show 'em. I loved the contrast between this cozy Fair Isle-esqe pattern and the patent leather shine of the shoes.
Along with mixing masculine vs feminine pieces, I combined a variety of textures and patterns.
A slouchy silhouette with heels and enough color to keep things interesting—it all came together for an easy and playful weekend look.
