Windy

I thought I was being so smart wearing a hat in Miami to protect my face from the sun...but then it turned out not to be very sunny...and very windy.  Oh well, I figure if I brought it all the way down here I might as well wear it!  Perfect for a casual outfit for an afternoon of walking around South Beach.

Seeing Red

I love pairing these pants with easy, classic pieces.  Since bright red pants can be a bit loud so toning them down with white and blue kept things weekend appropriate.
A down vest is the perfect solution for days that are cool but not cold enough for a winter jacket.
I mean...Chanel goes with everything, right?
I've slowly been unpacking my winter accessories - including my favorite red leather gloves.
I have to wear my highest shoes with these pants (since they're so long).  Hidden heels - an excellent trick to looking extra tall!

Such a beautiful day in a beautiful spot.

Falling Forward

San Francisco's cool temperatures were certainly a departure from NYC's hot and steamy weather.  I actually had to add a layer and change from sandals to boots!  It was a nice reminder that Fall isn't too far off.

Taking full advantage of a short trip I went straight from the plane to sight-seeing.  This meant comfortable layers.
I look forward to pairing this blazer with pretty much everything.  I love how the different colors work through the geometric pattern.
It's colorful, but not too loud.
I kept everything else pretty simple to highlight the jacket.
I'm looking forward to stocking up on more basics - like this blazer - in unexpected colors and patterns for Fall.

Cool Summer

Matching your shoes to your necklace...mark my words, it's going to be the next big thing.  OK, maybe not, but I'm at least going to have fun with matching neon accessories while I can.
Since my accessories were pretty loud, I kept the rest of my outfit super simple and neutral.  I love a good romper in the summer.  One piece to keep you cool and comfy.
I've been wearing this colorful chain necklace pretty much non-stop since I got it last weekend.  For an added punch, I layered in my vintage necklace that I spiced up with a coat of neon pink nail polish.
I love the drapey pockets on these shorts - makes the romper a little less playful, a little more sophisticated (if that's possible in a romper!).
I don't like wearing flip flops around the city in the summer.  These sandals offer a bit more coverage than a flip flop and feel a bit less casual.  They've been my go-to for the last month.
Being a girl that likes her layers, I find dressing for summer a bit more challenging than most other seasons.  But I have found you can't go wrong by keeping things simple, cool, and comfortable in the hot summer months.
