Lemon Zest

While I wouldn't say that yellow is necessarily a go-to color for me, every so often, when you find a yellow that works, it can be sort of perfect.  Between the bright color and and flowing cut of this skirt, it was pretty fun just walking around.  Especially on a beautiful spring day.

A casual, dark denim shirt was the perfect complement to the bright and ethereal skirt.

Who'd argue against pink shoes?  I mean, really?

Pajamas

Gotta love an outfit that feels like pajamas but is actually appropriate to wear outside the house.  It was perfect for a day trip out of the city to visit family.  It went easily from car to lunch to park adventure without a hitch.

Classic

There are certain items that will never go out of style - the classic trench, a crisp denim shirt, and black pumps are just a few of those items.  I decided to pair these pieces with a few colorful accessories for a super easy weekday look.
This scarf offers the perfect combination of bright and neutral colors.
The pink necklace peeking out from under my collar is actually a DIY project.  I had an vintage rhinestone necklace that I didn't wear very often, so I added a couple coats of neon pink nail polish to the rhinestones.  I love how the color gives the necklace a whole new look!
I've been on the look out for a dark denim shirt for a while now.  I haven't found the perfect one yet, so I borrowed my husband's which I found to work out quite nicely.
Trench coats always look so sophisticated and lady-like.  The leather trim on this specific trench adds a bit of edge as well.
