Sea Side

We made our annual trek to Cape Cod to spend Thanksgiving with family.  It's a nice change to visit the beach without worrying about bathing suits or sun screen.  It was beautiful and peaceful.  A nice long walk on the beach was perfect for working up an appetite.
This was my go-to jacket for the weekend.  Not too warm, not too cold and easy to layer.  The perfect jacket for weather that can't decide if it wants to be fall or winter.
I'm still figuring out exactly how to manage my (not so new anymore) bangs.  It's been a fun challenge. An easy way to change things up without losing overall length - something I'm definitely not ready for!
I layered a sheer polka-dot shirt over a chambray button down.  It made for a subtle pattern play.
The polka dots on this shirt are velvet!  It's such a cool and unexpected 3-D take on an old favorite.
It was great to enjoy a peaceful view before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season set in.

Pale Pleats

This past weekend was perfect fall weather.  Sunny but crisp and cool.  Not so cold that I had to bundle up too much, but I was still able to break out my favorite leather jacket and glove combo.

I love combining thicker sweaters with this super feminine skirt.  It makes the skirt feels a bit more casual and easy.

I couldn't resist throwing on a bit of leopard.  And I love mixing in these grey tights - the heathered grey is a little unusual, but a fun change.

Seeing Spots

We managed to snap a few pictures before work (and before the Nor'easter hit) yesterday.  As I trudged through a couple inches of freshly fallen (and still falling!) snow on my way home from work, I was pretty happy that I'd changed into my winter boots.
This color reminds me of pumpkin pie - which feels very appropriate as we are now well into November.
You can't tell here, but this sweater has suede elbow patches.  I love the detail - it feels very professorial.
I'm not ready to pack these shoes away for the winter.  Adding socks (and having a pair of winter boots close at hand) allows for at least a few more wears.
While I'm pretty excited to have pulled this jacket out from the back of the closet, I have to say that I'm not sure I'm quite ready for winter!
