Due North

I only have a few more pictures from our trip up to the Adirondacks over Christmas - between family and food, there wasn't a whole lot of time for pictures.  It's pretty casual up there, more about warmth than fashion.  Warm layers on top and comfortable pants on the bottom.
This scarf was hand-knit by my mom.  She even spun the wool to make the yarn.  She's super crafty!  The bronze pin holding the scarf together is actually a hair clip that my mom just passed along to me.  My dad brought it back for her from his solo motorcycle trip through Europe in the early 1970s, which makes it extra special.
I added a gold belt for a little sparkle in an otherwise super casual look.
So these boots are not exactly practical in the snow...I didn't keep them on for long.
Blazer: ADAM / Pants: Rugby / Shoes and Belt: Zara / Scarf: Hand-knit (my mom's) / Pin: Vintage hair piece

  8. Over from Tomboy Style too. Love your blog and have bookmarked it.
I'm a knitter and adore the scarf. Is there a way I can see it open? Or get the pattern? I know it's a garter stitch, but would love to see the actual shape, etc. Thanks, looks fantastic with the hair clip.
