Wild Flower

As a city dweller, it's always a treat when you stumble across little patches of green that aren't (too) garbage strewn.  This one happened to be across the street from a great park we discovered in Red Hook a few weeks ago.
It was so beautiful this weekend.  I took full advantage of having no need for sleeves.
I have had this shirt for a while - last summer I chopped off the sleeves making it a tank.  While it's not exactly appropriate for all occasions with the armholes being so low - it certainly keeps me cool while biking around on a warm summer afternoon.
I have also had these shorts for several years now.  They remind me of something I would have loved when I was little - super flowery and girly.  I certainly feel like I'm channeling my inner child while being super on trend with floral.
Looking at this picture, you almost could forget I'm smack in the middle of NYC.  I'm still getting used to biking in the city - these sandals were perfect for the occasion.
